El Dorado squandered a one-run lead in the ninth and lost to Haysville 10-2 in 10 innings in the Midwest Regional at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium on Monday night.
The loss dropped the Broncos into the losers bracket.
El Dorado must win three games in order to reach the final. Then, the Broncos will have to defeat the winners bracket winner twice to gain the title.
Dakota McKaskle allowed no earned runs for eight innings. Gil Rehwinkle relieved to start the ninth and walked the leadoff batter, who eventually scored to send the game into extra innings.
The 10th was a nightmare for the Broncos. They allowed 8 runs with the first batter reaching on an error.
Six times El Dorado pitched to a batter with the bases loaded, the results: four walks and two hit-by-pitches.

The Broncos scored in the sixth when Thomas Clay walked and scored on David Morgan's double.
In the seventh, Chris Godinez led off with a triple. Andrew Perez' infield groundout scored Godinez for a 2-1 lead. In the fourth, Haysville's Garrett Tuck reached on an error by Perez at short and he scored on an infield groundout.
