The El Dorado Municipal Airport’s annual fly-in will be held Saturday morning.
In addition to the fly-in pilot competition, there will be activities open to the public.
“We’re inviting the community out to enjoy the airport,” said airport manager Caleb Marsh. “They can have some fun and watch an air show.”
The activities will begin at 8 a.m. with a pancake breakfast fundraiser for the Boy Scouts. At 9 a.m., the Young Eagles rides will begin, offering youth ages 8-17 the chance to have a free airplane ride.
At 10 a.m., there will be an air show featuring a Hawker Beechcraft T-6C, and at 10:30, the fly-in pilot competition will begin. The pilots who come to the airport will compete in events including spot landings, balloon bursting and flower bag bomb dropping.
The events will wind down around 11:30, and kids in attendance will receive a gift bag.
The airport is located at 1485 SE 30th.
