OBITUARY - Caleb Andrew Kortje

Caleb Andrew Kortje, 19, of Benton, died Wednesday, Aug. 22. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Benton Church. Interment will follow in Kechi Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado.

Caleb was born on June 30, 1993 in Wichita, the son of David and Sandra (Wattier) Kortje. He was a student at Trinity Academy in his 12th year. Caleb loved the mountains, rock climbing, playing soccer and loved music.

Those he leaves including his parents David and Sandra Kortje of the home in Benton are: a sister, Alisha Kortje; a brother, Josiah Kortje; and a nephew, Landon Trotter all of Benton; his grandparents, Donald and Beverly Kortje of North Fork, Neb., and Clarence and Patricia Wattier of Seward, Neb.; and many aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Joshua Kortje.
