Hughey named EHS Athlete of the Week
- For the week of Sept. 17, Austin Hughey was named the EHS Athlete of the week in Football.
For the week of Sept. 17, Austin Hughey was named the EHS Athlete of the week in Football.
Austin, senior football player and caught 7 passes for 102 yards against Winfield. He also had numerous tackles and a long kickoff return.
Austin is the son of Monty and Carri Hughey. Austin hopes to wrestle in college. He participates in football and wrestling at EHS. Austin and his family attend the Salvation Army Church.
For the week of Sept. 10, Morgan Limon was named the EHS Athlete of the week in Tennis.
Morgan , senior tennis player, placed third in doubles with her partner Kayla Barrett at the El Dorado Invitational with a 2-1 record.
She placed 5th in singles on Thursday with a 2-1 record at the Circle meet. Morgan is a senior at El Dorado High School. She is the daughter of Mr. Limon and Roxanne Limon.
Her future plans include attending Butler Community College and then transferring to Oklahoma State University and majoring in veterinary sciences.
She is involved in KAY, Band and Color guard. Morgan’s hobbies include reading and listening to music. Morgan is a member of the EHS tennis and basketball teams and assists a softball manager.
Morgan is a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and helps with the sixth grade religion class. Her cumulative GPA is 3.466.
For the week of Sept. 3, Trevor Crain was named as the EHS Athlete of the week for Football.
Trevor, senior football player, caught 8 passes for 50 yards with one touchdown and 1 – 2 point conversion against McPherson. He also had 7.5 tackles and a fumble recovery versus McPherson.
Trevor is the son of Rolanda Davis. His future plans include playing football at the collegiate level.
He participates in football, basketball and baseball. Trevor is a member of the Jr. Ambassadors. He attends H2O New life Church. His cumulative GPA is 3.857.
