EDCF investigating unexpected death of inmate

A 24-year-old inmate at the El Dorado Correctional Facility passed away unexpectedly Saturday.

"All unexpected inmate deaths are under investigation," said Dale Call, public information officer for the prison. "All I can do is confirm there was an unexpected inmate death."

The inmate who passed away, Zachary Howard, was from Sedgwick County.
