Murder suspect attempts to withdraw plea

A hearing is underway for Lindsey Giovinazzo District Court in El Dorado this morning.

She is attempting to withdraw her guilty plea in the Dec. 6, 2011 murder of Loyce Cody of Augusta. Giovinazzo is a co-defendant with the man who was her boyfriend at the time of the incident.

The defendant has testified that she didn't understand all of the questions at the plea hearing and her attorney wouldn't listen to her side.

A new attorney has been appointed.

Her former attorney is next to testify at the hearing. Check back for an update as soon as the hearing concludes.
