A look inside

The new El Dorado Fire Sub-Station on West Sixth Avenue began housing firefighters on Dec. 1 and Butler began using the classrooms for their Fire Science Program Jan. 22. The sub-station has accommodations for five firefighters, but currently houses the fire marshall, a captain and driver. They have gone on 61 calls since Dec. 1. A lieutenant and two firefighters remain at the downtown station.
