After a successful first year, the Prairie Port Festival Committee is looking for a logo for its “Smoke on the Prairie BBQ Contest.”

The event was held for the first time at this year’s festival and there are plans to continue it.
Because of that, they are in need of a logo.

The committee decided to open the contest to the public.

“If you’re an artist or just enjoy drawing, we invite you to participate,” said Steve Reynolds, event chair.

The following rules apply. All submissions:
• become the property of the Prairie Port Committee.
• cannot be returned.
• must be on 8 1/2 x 11 plain paper.
• must be postmarked no later than Nov. 10. Submissions postmarked after that date will not be eligible.
• more than one logo design submission per individual is allowable.
• will be judged by the Prairie Port Committee.
• winner will be notified no later than Nov. 21.
• winning entry will receive $25 cash.

The committee reserves the right to reject any or all logo submissions. The 25th annual Prairie Port Festival will be held July 23 through 26.
