The El Dorado Municipal Band will perform its weekly concert at 8 p.m. Thursday in the Forest Park Band Shell at Ninth and Taylor streets.
This week is the annual Memorial Concert, which honors the history of the band and the memory of those band members who have passed on. Kevin Monroe will conduct music reflective of this theme.
This week’s concert will be preceded at 7:30 by the annual ice cream social to benefit music scholarships at Butler Community College. Free will donations to this fund enable one to two students to study music at BCC each year.
