Dick and Evelyn Barnard of Lee’s Summit, Mo., formerly of Chanute and El Dorado, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 19, 2009.
They were united in marriage at the Lockwood (Mo.) Baptist Church.
Dick retired from W.R. Grace in 1989. Evelyn worked for Dr. Girod as his office nurse before her retirement. They left many friends in El Dorado in 1990 on their journey to Lee’s Summit.
Dick and Evelyn have three children: Greg, Bill and his wife, Darlene, and Andrea. They have five grandchildren, Amy, Jeremy (Bobbi), Erin, Caitlin and Luke, and three great-grandchildren, Samantha, Shane and Liam. They celebrated their special day with a family dinner.
