Sholders to celebrate 50th anniversary

El Dorado, Kan. - Gerald (Bud) and Kay Sholders will celebrate their 50th anniversary on August 2 with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1515 N. Anderson Rd. in Newton. hosting the celebration will be their children, Marcia and David Whiting from Ft. Worth, Texas, Gary and Lori Sholders and Patricia and Troy Deutschendorf.
The couple was married on Aug. 31, 1958 in the Congregational Christian Church in Towanda. Gerald grew up in Midian and El Dorado area. Kay grew up in Towanda.
