Macy Renee Fairman and Michael Steven Cargnel of Kansas City, Mo., were united in marriage on May 23, 2009 in Portovenere, Italy.
The ceremony was held outside of a 16th century castle on top of cliffs and terrace.
Macy is the daughter of Dan and Janan Fairman of El Dorado and Michael is the son of Sam and Joan Cargnel of Springfield, Mo.
Grandparents of the bride are Ralph and Lois Fairman of El Dorado.
Macy is a 1999 graduate of El Dorado High School and is a graduate of the University of Kansas. Michael is a graduate of Kickapoo High School, Evangel University and Washburn Law School.
Macy is employed in commercial interior design with Scott Rice Office and Michael is a partner with Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP.
The couple’s attendants were Amy Hamm, sister of the bride, and Sammy Cargnel, brother of the groom. Sixteen family members and friends attended the wedding in Italy. Most of them spent almost two weeks touring Italy. After honeymooning in Venice and at Lake Como in Italy, Mike and Macy reside in Kansas City.
