James B. and Wanda M. (Mohler) Haigler of El Dorado were married on June 26, 1959 in Leon at the home of Beryl and Rosemary Mohler, brother and sister-in-law of the bride.
Their children are SuJean (Lynn) Tompkins of Smith Center, Bill (Miriam) Haigler of Leon, Jamie (Dwight) Downs of Benton, Scott (Carol) Haigler of El Dorado and Ray Haigler, present in spirit.
They have nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, with two more on the way.
James retired from Hogoboom Trucking in 1997. Wanda retired in 2006 from USD 375 where she was head cook at Oil Hill Elementary. She continues to be employed by USD 490 as a bus driver for the early childhood program.
The couple will be celebrating their anniversary with a family camp out at El Dorado State Park. The children of the couple request a card shower in their honor. Cards may be sent to 1011 Shelden, El Dorado, KS 67042.
