Calvin and Joann Klaassen of Whitewater are proud to announce the recent union of their son Chad Ryan Klaassen to Heather Michelle Reid.
The couple were married on June 4, 2011 at St. Vincent de Paul in Andover.
Heather is the daughter of Jim and Renee Reid of Wichita. She graduated from Wichita East in 2006 and received a degree in communications at Kansas University in 2010. She is currently working for the Newton Area Chamber of Commerce as the director of NTouch services. Heather's grandmothers are Joan Reid of Delaware and Barbara Favicchia of Connecticut.
Chad graduated from Fredric Remington High in 2006 and attended Bethel College. He received a degree in aerospace engineering from Kansas University in 2011. He is currently working as a structural engineer at Spirit. He is the grandson of LaVerne Mosiman of Whitewater.
The ceremony was presided by Father Mike Baldwin and pastor Steve Weldon.
The attendants for the bride were matron on honor, Allison Drake, sister of the bride, and bridesmaids Anne Crook, Kara Southern, Courtney Colvin, Katie Bengtson, Kiley Barnes and Jeni Klaassen.
The grooms best man was his brother Jeff Klaassen and groomsmen included Grant Phares, Steve Lowe, Gavin Wuthrich, Ryan Reid, Gabe Myers and Michael Cain.
Others in the wedding were ring bearer Colton Barnes, nephew of the groom, and flower girls Ava Klaassen, Britney Klaassen and Brooklyn Barnes, nieces of the groom.
Chad and Heather spent their honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Mexico and live in Kechi.
