Planting a tree in celebration of Arbor Day

On Thursday, the El Dorado Tree Board planted a tree at Lincoln Elementary   in celebration of Arbor Day. 

Lincoln Elementary was chosen because fifth grade student Chelsea Harber won the El Dorado Tree Board Arbor Day Poster Contest this year.

Chelsea’s poster was chosen from more then 90 poster entries by local fifth grade classes.

Prior to the tree planting, El Dorado High School students gave the history of Arbor Day to the Lincoln Elementary students and told them the story of Johnny Appleseed.
