El Dorado High School Resource Officer James Smith said arrests have been made regarding the recent graffiti tagging incident on Jan. 25.

El Dorado police are investigating the stabbing of two men last night, said EDPD Lt. Justin Phillips.

Law enforcement officials announced the capture of Israel Mireles Wednesday afternoon, during a press conference.

Mireles was arrested at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday in Melchor Muzquiz, Mexico, about 70 miles southwest of Eagle pass, Texas, where he was staying with family members.
"Isreal Mireles is wanted in the homicide of Emily Sander in El Dorado," Troy Oberley, with the U.S. Marshalls office in Wichita, said.

U.S. Marshalls reported today that Isreal Mireles was captured in Mexico.

Police found a body of a young woman in a field off Highway 54 between El Dorado and Toronto at 2:20 p.m. Thursday.

El Dorado police investigators are actively seeking more information regarding the disappearance of 18-year-old Butler Community College student Emily Sander, who was last seen leaving a bar with Israel Mireles, 24, Friday evening.

El Dorado Correctional Facility is increasing preventative security measures following the escape of two inmates last month, said Warden Ray Roberts at a press conference Wednesday afternoon.

Police have located Israel Mireles's 2007 Ford Taurus in Vernon, Texas, about 50 miles northwest of Wichita Falls.

On Friday afternoon, Butler County Sheriff Investigators brought former El Dorado Correctional Facility guard Amber Goff back to Kansas from Grant, N.M.

A body found Friday afternoon in the El Dorado Lake is that of a black male.

The body was found by a fisherman just north of the bridge, according to Butler County Sheriff Craig Murphy.
