Jessica Seibel joined the news staff at the El Dorado Times Monday.
Seibel, who is from Kechi, graduated from Wichita State University in May 2008 with a bachelor of arts degree in communication, with an emphasis in print journalism.
She has worked for the WSU student newspaper, The Sunflower News, the WSU Foundation and was an editorial intern for Wichita Magazine.
“We’re excited to have Jessica join our staff,” said Kent Bush, publisher. “We think she’ll be an excellent addition to our news team.”
“I look forward to working with Jessica, and seeing what new ideas she can bring to the paper,” said Julie Clements, editor. “I feel she will be a good addition because of her enthusiasm for the job.”
Seibel will be covering the Butler County Commission and putting together the Memories, Faith and Active Age pages each week, as well as other various duties.
“I’m happy to be here and I’m looking forward to getting started,” Seibel said.
