Several members of the community gathered at Prairie Trails Country Club Friday evening for a night of music, fellowship and helping a good cause.

Chase Locke, assistant promotions director with Clear Channel Radio, along with the help of GCI and Channel 96.3, brought Jessie James to town to perform a few songs. James is an up-and-coming pop star who had performed at Hartman Arena the night before.

The concert was a benefit for the Children's Miracle Network.

In addition, the concert, a silent auction was held for several entertainment packages.
"It went well," Locke said.

"It was an opportunity to bring an artist to El Dorado who usually wouldn't play in a community like that. She is someone who plays the East and West Coast a lot and usually plays for bigger crowds."
This setting allowed for an acoustic performance, including James and two guitarists.

Following the performance she autographed photos for fans and took pictures with anyone who wanted one.

"She had a great time," Locke said. "It was really nice of her to do it."
