Wichita State University is hosting a one million meal Numana packaging event, which began today.

The response from south-central Kansas to getting food to the people of Haiti since the earthquake has been astounding, with more than two million meals having been packaged and airlifted.

These meals are on the ground feeding people in Haiti.

To help, WSU will stage a 1-million-meal food packaging event from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Saturday and 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Wichita State University’s Eugene M. Hughes Metropolitan Complex.

Those who would like to help by volunteering to package food, donating to purchase meals or being part of coordinating the event by becoming a “Green Shirt” can visit  www.numanainc.com.
