Butler Community College Board of Trustees met for their September meeting to recognize a number of individuals for the efforts within the Butler network.
The 2009 Kids’ College supporters, teachers and assistants were recognized for their efforts. Those who volunteered energy included: Verna Abercrombie, Anne Bilson, Jan Boehm, Jason Burk, Mike Calvert, Teresa Cansell, Jeff Cole, Cindy Hearn, Ashley Jayarathne, Lorna Jester, Jacque Johnson, Kelsiee Johnson, Elizabeth Karr, Jennifer Karr, Kim Karr, Sandy Koontz, Bill Langley, Sara Martin, Danny Mattern, Robert Ray, Barbara Roths, Bonnie Smith, Shelby Sobba, Mitchell Taylor, Justine Tuttle and J.W. Waldschmidt Jr.
The board also recognized a member participating in the Rainbow Worm Factory during the college’s event, Rock Enroll.
The National Junior college Athletic Association Review celebrated a multitude of Grizzlies in their Special Academic issue and board members congratulated students listed.
Members of the 2009 Grizzly Leadership Academy were also thanked and congratulated.
KWCH’s Tasty Tuesdays segment recently featured Butler Hospitality Management program and Jackie Vietti, Butler president, announced the recognition for the college.
Danny Mattern was also thanked for taking part in the New Faculty Training Conference Commencement ATE Program for Physics faculty project.
Donnie Smith was thanked for his effort with the Automotive Service Association August/September Driving Force Newsletter and Meg McGranaghan was thanked for the inclusion in the Learning Moves ONLINE article.
