As the 24th Annual Governor's One Shot Turkey Hunt approaches, the Butler County Commissioners designated $5,000 for the event.

Since 2007, the county has contributed this amount to the Hunt, which will be held in mid-April.

"This is a great event," said County Administrator Will Johnson.

In other business, the commission:

• approved the cooperating agency agreement from Tabor College School of Adult and Graduate Studies and the Butler County Health Department.

• approved the application for categorical grants from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment to the Butler County Health Department.

• authorized the county engineer to obtain a proposal for engineering services for two bridge structural repair projects in northwest Butler County near Elbing.

• approved fencing reimbursement costs for a property owner related to the S.W. 210th Street project.

• approved agreements with Keystone Pipeline related road maintenance and related to crossing public road rights-of-way.

• approved a change order for the elevator replacement project at the Butler County Courthouse.
