Ed Arnold, Butler’s facilities director, is spear-heading an effort to “green up” the college campus and reported to the Board of Trustees that they will be seeing drafts of the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory and Sustainability action plan in the works.

Honeywell will be performing the GHG Inventory next month and Arnold offered to have a representative from the company present information to the board.

Board members agreed seeing an initial draft of the report would be sufficient to begin, then they would work from those findings and decide if a presentation was necessary.

Arnold also reported the Sustainability team and committees have sectioned off into five sub-teams and will soon be conducting sub-team separate meetings. The committee’s third meeting was yesterday afternoon and progress is continuing with the goal of creating an more sustainable campus existence.
