WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Sam Brownback today applauded Senate passage of the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Bill.
“I was pleased that the Senate passed this important bill that includes funding for vital Kansas military installations,” said Brownback. “I am proud of all of our men and women in uniform who are serving the country, and I know they deserve the best installations and training facilities we can provide. America has the finest military in the world, and I remain committed to ensuring it has the facilities worthy of that reputation.”
The following projects were included in the Military Construction bill:
Improvements to the Army National Guard’s taxiway, ramps, and hangars at its Salina aviation facility, $2,200,000
Upgrade Estes Road access point at Fort Riley, $7,100,000
