Area tours being offered of Flinthills

“Visit Cowboy Country” and experience the Flinthills of Eastern Cowley County on a unique bus tour March 27, sponsored by the ABCDE  (Atlanta, Burden, Cambridge, Dexter and Eastern Cowley Co.) Community Economic Development group and Cowley First.  

This cultural trip will include a guided bus tour with area residents giving information on sites and history along the way. There will also be many photo opportunities during the tour. Participants will get an inside view of spring pasture burns, the blooming Redbud trees, unique small towns, a famous candy factory and end with an authentic chuckwagon cowboy dinner served by the Chuckwagon Crew from Cambridge and  the Flint Hills Country Music Opry.  There will also be a room full of brochures and items from the area.

Bus pickups will begin at 2 p.m. in locations determined by reservations from Wichita, Derby, Andover, Augusta, etc.  The bus will return to the pickup points at 10 p.m. Cost for the day are $50 for adults, $95 for a partner group of two. Paid reservations are required by March 20.

For reservations, mail to Donna Martin, 18599 Hwy. K15, Dexter, KS 67038. Tickets are also available for just the Cowboy Country  dinner - $15 adults/ $12 child 12 and under (reservations by Mar. 20) and the Opry - $10 adults, $5 child 12 and uunder available at the door.
