Suspect arrested in EHS bomb threat

Within 24 hours of the initial report of the bomb threat at El Dorado High School, El Dorado Police officers arrested 18-year-old Chris Breedlove in connection to the threat, according to Police Chief Tom Boren.

The call came in at about 8 a.m. Monday morning and the students were evacuated to the Activity Center until the school was searched for suspicious items.

Students returned to class about 9:30 a.m.

Following the incident, El Dorado School Resource Officer and  Kurt Spivey and Det. Chad Young interviewed several witnesses and students at EHS Monday morning.

Then on Tuesday, working with students and staff, police interviewed Breedlove, a senior at EHS, who confessed to making the call.

Breedlove was arrested for making criminal threats and taken to the Butler County Jail.

The case has been sent to the Butler County Attorney's Office.
