OBITUARY: Eileen Lewis

Eileen Lewis, 96, passed away, Friday, Aug. 20, 2010 at LakePoint Nursing Center in Augusta. Service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.

Eileen was born in Lincoln, Kan., on Sept. 25, 1913; the daughter of the late George William and Sarah Belle (Weaver) Henry. On Nov. 24, 1933 she was married to Breck Lewis in North Topeka  and he preceded her in death.

Together with her husband they owned and operated Breck's Photography Studio in the 1950s though the 1970s.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Jimmie Lewis, a daughter, Janet Gardner; two brothers and five sisters.

She is survived by son, Bill Lewis and wife Lee of Everett, Wash. son-in-law, Bill Gardner of Garfield, Ark; grandchildren, Mark Lewis of Andover; Brian Lewis and wife Tammy of Wichita; Tonie Apel and husband Mike of Augusta; Doug Sharp and wife Sharon of Everett, Wash.; Shelly Marbut and husband Ray of Augusta; Tracy Edwards of Garfield, Ark.; and Gregg Lewis and wife Loresa of El Dorado; 12 great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
