OBITUARY: Roberta Nungesser

Roberta Nungesser, 89, El Dorado, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at her home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Towanda. Visitation with the family will be this evening at Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado. Interment will follow the funeral services in Sunset Lawns Cemetery.

She was born on Jan. 11, 1921 in Mountain Grove, Mo., the daughter of Amon and Annie (Hovis) Beal. She had worked for Beech, Boeing and Cessna doing electrical wiring.

On Aug. 8, 1938 she was married to Paul Nungesser in Houston, Mo. He preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 1996.

Roberta was a member of First Baptist Church in Towanda and loved to cook, being around her
children and grandchildren.  She especially loved to be around her grandbabies.  In her spare time she enjoyed doing find-a-word puzzles.

Those who survive are: a daughter and her husband, Bonnie and Jay Hudspeth of Wichita; a son and his wife, Ronald and Carol Nungesser of El Dorado; six grandchildren,  Paulette Traffas, Melissa Wheeler, Terri Schmidt, Ronnie J. Nungesser, Paul Gene Nungesser and Ronda Garcia; 12 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Carlson Funeral is in charge of the arrangements.
