Leona L. Trollope-White, 95, of El Dorado, went home to be with her heavenly Father on Monday, April 7, 2008 at Lakepoint Nursing and Rehabilitation in El Dorado. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Latham, Kansas Cemetery.
She was born on Nov. 20, 1912 at Latham, the daughter of Frank and Minnie (Young) Harwick. Leona worked in the Oil Industry and on Feb. 14, 1941 she was married to James Everett Trollope and he died June 26, 1967. She later was married to Ernest Leroy White on Nov. 20, 1982 and he also preceded her in death Jan. 3, 1995. Leona was a loving Christian woman, loving mother, grandmother and a friend to many. She was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church.
Those she leaves are a son, Douglas Trollope of Spring, Texas; a daughter, Evertta K. Gurney of El Dorado; four grandchildren, Todd Plummer and wife Shelly, Grant Trollope and wife Tammy, Shawn Trollope and wife Stacey, and Joel Trollope and wife Alexis; three step-grandchildren, Lynda Queen and husband Gary, Larry Gurney and wife Annette, and Laura Walker and husband Steve; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Leonard and Keith Harwick.
