Grace Joy Unruh, 95, of Wichita, died on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the Eureka Nursing Center. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Walnut Valley Memorial Park.
She was born on Dec. 2, 1914 in Rosalia, the daughter of Richard Roy and Cora Belle (Metcalfe) Abraham. She was married to Ernest Dunning in 1933 at her parents home in Rosalia. He died in 1937. She was later married to Arthur L. Unruh on Dec. 7, 1947 in El Dorado. They came to Wichita in 1990 from Arkansas where they moved in 1979 from El Dorado. She was a homemaker and had worked outside of the home both at Boeing Wichita and Cessna Aircraft. She was a member of First Christian Church.
Those she leaves are: her husband, Art of the home; a son, Ernest “Lee” Dunning of Kerrville, Texas; a sister, Mary Ellen Folter of Hemphill, Texas; four grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Joan Joy Gibbs; and a brother, Robert Abraham.
