Matthew R. Sciarrotta, 21, began a journey beyond this earth Friday, March 12, 2010 as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident on Thursday, March 11, 2010. Matthew was born in Wichita on Aug. 31, 1988. He is survived by mother, Debra Stewart of Wichita; father, Mike Sciarrotta of Towanda; step-mother, Linda Sciarrotta of Augusta; sister, Stephanie Sciarrotta of El Dorado; brother, Andrew Sciarrotta of Wichita; one niece, Frankie Anne Elliot of El Dorado; grandparents, Madelyn Stewart of Wichita and Ann Sciarrotta of Laguna Hills, Calif.; and step-grandmother, Wanda Stewart of Wichita. He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Robert Stewart and Frank Sciarrotta, and one cousin. A celebration of his life will be held, for friends and family, on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the Machinists Union Hall, I-235 and S. Merridian, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. in Wichita.
