Ivan Leroy Gossett, 87, died Wednesday morning, June 10, 2009 at Lakepoint of Augusta.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
Ivan was born in 1922 in Oil Hill, the son of Howard and Mary (Wilson) Gossett.
He grew up in Oil Hill and graduated from El Dorado High School. After graduation, he served his country in the United States Army in the Phillipines in WWII. He was married to Betty Jean Whitfield in Wichita.
His wife preceded him in death. Ivan retired from Beech Aircraft. He was an avid golfer and loved going to his Army reunions.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth; sister, Martha Shaft; and his wife.
