OBITUARY: Michael A. Turner

Michael A. Turner, 45, of El Dorado, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010 as the results of an automobile accident.  Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado. Visitation with the family will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, also at the Funeral Home.

He was born on Dec. 7, 1964 in Winfield, the son of Jack and Ruth (Cooper) Turner.  He received his GED and had attended college for one year. Michael was a computer tech.

He enjoyed many things including auctions, painting, writing, computers, cell phones, making cards and especially loved to be with his grandchildren.

On Nov. 9, 2007 he was married to Melinda Tucker in Branson, Mo.

Those who survive including his wife of the home are: his father, Jack Turner of Coffeyville; his mother, Ruth Parks of El Dorado; step-children, Heather Fields and husband Jeff, Tim Hein and wife Stephanie, and John Hein and wife Danielle, all of McPherson, and Shawn Hein and wife Tammy of Tulsa; siblings, Kim Karcher of Albany, Ga.,  Gary Turner of San Diego, Calif., and Becky Swanson and husband Jeff of Monumet, Colo.; his grandfather, Glen Cooper of El Dorado; grandchildren, E. J., Lauren, Laiken, Tanner and Tucker Hein, Abby and Ellie Fields, and Brendan and Gunnar Hein; and his dogs, Gabriel and Raphael.

 He was preceded in death by his grandmother, June Cooper; grandmother and grandfather, Jack and Irene Turner;  and his mother-in-law, Nadola Tucker.
