Thelma J. Robinson, 89, of El Dorado, died Saturday, July 24, 2010 at her home in Olathe. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Walnut Valley Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 7:30 this evening at Carlson Funeral Home.
Thelma was born on Nov. 28, 1920 in Holly, Colo., the daughter of Melvin Elbert and Nora Ellen (Eads) Gragg. She lived in El Dorado for many years, and was a homemaker. She had many hobbies including embroider work, listening to music, baking, canning, cooking and quilting. Thelma had worked for Dr. Timpleton, Dr. Shields and Dr. Kassebaum for over 50 years.
On Oct. 4, 1941 she was married to Roy Robinson in El Dorado. He preceded her in death in January of 2003.
Those who survive are: a daughter and husband, Vicki and Harry Kingsley of Olathe; son and wife, Elton (Robby) and Tina Robinson, and Robert Cody, all of El Dorado; a brother and his wife, Jimmie W. and Shirley Gragg of El Dorado; a son-in-law, and his wife Donald and Debbie Wright of Brownville, Neb.; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter Glennis, (Wright) Robinson; and four grandchildren.
Memorials in her memory for Hospice of Olathe may be left with Carlson Funeral Home, which is assisting the family with the arrangements.
