OBITUARY: Mason James Bomberry

Mason James Bomberry, 24, of Newton, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010 at the Newton Medical Center.
 
He was born on Aug. 5, 1986 in Wichita. He moved to Newton in 2005 and worked at the Newton McDonald’s Restaurant since 2006 where he was a manager.

 Mason loved to write music, he was an avid sports fan and loved by many. He and his brothers experienced a life that would draw them closer to one another that will endure forever in an unbreakable bond.

 Mason is survived by his father and step-mother, Hank Bomberry and Shelly Trupe of El Dorado; his mother and step-father, Annie and Anthony Bourland of Newton; three brothers, Ryan Bomberry of Scotttsdale, Ariz., and Jesse Bomberry and Alex Bomberry both of Newton; two sisters, Sasha Bomberry of Buffalo, N.Y. and Sophie Bomberry of El Dorado; 12 step-brothers and sisters; and his grandmother, Marjorie Bomberry of Niagra Falls, N.Y.

 He is preceded in death by grandparents Rudy and Lillian Bryan and Chester Bomberry.

 Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Thursday. A time of sharing memories with the family will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.

 A memorial has been established with the Mason Bomberry Memorial Fund, contributions may be left at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, Ks. 67114.
