OBITUARY: Kenneth Dale Latta

Kenneth Dale Latta, 57, of Wichita and a former El Dorado resident, died Sunday, July 18, 2010 at his home after a short battle of cancer. Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Walnut Valley Memorial Park.  Reverend Steve Hysom will preside at the services.

Kenneth Dale Latta, son of Burrell and Reova Latta and brother of Jim Latta and uncle to Jamee and Ethan Latta, was born in Pratt on Jan. 11, 1953. Kenneth graduated from El Dorado High School and had some college hours. He spent his teen age years in El Dorado, and worked for Bombardiar as a stock clerk for many years. He enjoyed collecting antiques and his animals.

He was married to the love of his life Kim Rader on Nov. 11, 1989 and they shared their home with his beloved St. Bernards Heather, Aja and Axal (all deceased), Amber, Axtro, Ashlaye and Autumn and his parrots Chipper and Bandit (both deceased) and Sunshine and Kandi.

He was preceded in death by his parents in July of 2000.

Memorials in his memory for the Humane Society may be left with Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado, which is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences to the family can be sent to www.carlsoncolonial.com.
