OBITUARY - Clifford Michael ‘Mike’ Camp

Clifford Michael "Mike" Camp, the son of Clifford Lee and Mary (Turner) Camp, was born May 24, 1951 in El Dorado. He attended and graduated from El Dorado High School. Mike enjoyed participating in athletics during school. he served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Mike lived in Kansas and
Nebraska prior to moving to Baxter, Iowa, 15 years ago.

Mike had worked in the oil fields and the construction industry. He was a member of Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers Local 74. For the past five years, Mike had worked in the Tire and Lube Express at Walmart. Mike enjoyed cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Mike died Saturday, March 6, 2010 at his home in Baxter. He was 58. Mike was a caring father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen; his father, Clifford; and brother-in-law, Bruce Wilson.

Those left to honor Mike's memory include his two sons, Jared (Jessica) Camp of Baxter and Scott (Danielle) Camp of Colorado; daughter, Rachel (Nick) Danley of Newton; his two grandsons, Dylan and Daniel; his mother, Mary Turner Camp Nuttle (Jim) of El Dorado; brother, Buster Camp of El Dorado; his two sisters, Rhonda Camp of El Dorado and Cathy (Mac) Diechman of Cambridge, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday in Newton, Iowa, with burial today at Riverview Cemetery in Arkansas City.
