Ruth M. Williams passed away on Jan. 28, 2010 while receiving care at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice center.
Ruth was born on Dec. 27, 1924 in Haven. She lived in Haven until moving to Cassoday in 1939. Ruth was married in El Dorado on June 2, 1957 to Bob Williams.
They made their home in Wellington. In 1992 Ruth and Bob moved to El Dorado to be closer to her family. Ruth was preceded in death by her father Herman Miller, her mother, Marie Miller, and her bother Harry Miller. She is survived by: her husband, Bob Williams; son, Gene Williams and his wife Jane of Overland Park; and two siblings, Junior Miller and his wife Ruth of Cassoday and Ramona Unruh of El Dorado. Ruth also had three grandchildren, Chris, Patrick and Timmy, all of Overland Park. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her extended family at holidays and family events.
She cherished the time that she spent with her grandsons and loved them dearly. She looked forward to camping and fishing trips with her brothers and sister. In the spring time, working in her flower garden was a real treat. Roses were a special favorite. She liked to cook and enjoyed embroidery.
Her love and sweet smiles will be missed by all who knew her. Services were held at 10 a.m. today in Carlson Funeral Home, 200 S. Star, El Dorado. Burial will be at Sumner Gardens in Wellington.
