Dora May Faunce, 78, of El Dorado, died Aug. 29, 2010 at Wesley Medical Center. The celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
Mrs. Faunce was born May 18, 1932 in Clements, Kan., the daughter of Florus and Jessie (Harlan) Talkington. For many years she worked as a C.N.A. for Beverly Health Care. Her whole life revolved around her special family.
Surviving family include: sons, Wade Allen of Gilette, Wyo., William Linn of Burns and Eric Lee of El Dorado; daughter, Shirley and husband Glen Swope of El Dorado; brother, Gary Talkington of El Dorado; sisters, Margaret Holloman El Dorado, Ethel Scribner Wichita, Flora Casper of Rosalia, Edna Dwire of Warsaw, Mo., and Virgie Sade of Topeka; six grandkids; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two children, Audie and Darla; a grandson, Aaron Munoz; three brothers; and one sister.
A memorial has been established with Park Avenue Baptist Church. Contributions may be left at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home.
