To the Editor:
We want to express our great appreciation to the City of El Dorado; City Manager Lewellyn; Mayor McKibban and City Commissioners; Recreation Advisory Board; and the Baseball Hall of Fame board of directors, with extra efforts from Sam Leben and Brad Long.
Saturday was an inspiring, memorable day of recognition for Oral Taylor and his efforts for baseball in El Dorado. We are humbled and honored by the large turnout of supportive friends and family who gathered to share his special day. We pray that the “Oral Taylor Pavilion” will long be used and enjoyed by the baseball fans of El Dorado and call attention to Oral’s involvement over the years and the many special friends made through his love of sports, especially baseball.
