I want to publicly thank Wendy Anderson, General Manager at the West Central Pizza Hut, for supporting the Bradford Memorial Library through the corporate Fundraising program. Because of this program, the Library has been able to purchase a new Internet computer for patrons.
With the Fundraiser program, the Library receives money from each purchase made at that Pizza Hut on the second and fourth Tuesdays after 4 p.m., but only when people request the donation be made.
We have five computers for adult patrons to access the internet and three for children. We have had support from the Gates Foundation in the past, but there won’t be any more general support for libraries to buy computers. This means that we need to have other support for the replacement and expansion of our internet services. The Library has ear-marked all the donations from the Pizza Hut Fundraising program for technology, so we are especially grateful when people support this.
We hope that people will remember to ask the Bradford Memorial Library receive its share when they purchase pizza so that we can continue to serve patrons well.
