Arizona is doing the right thing by enforcing the immigration laws already on the books. While illegal immigrants are here stealing our jobs, we are footing the bill for their medical services, food stamps, and their children’s education.
Something is wrong with this picture – especially when we are in the midst of a recession and thousands of Kansans are searching for a job. I wish the Obama administration would wake-up, ditch their destructive amnesty plans and crack down on our existing immigration laws. But I guess that’s just a pipe dream.
However, it is such a breath of fresh air to see Congressman Todd Tiahrt taking action against this extensive problem. Tiahrt has authored legislation to secure our border, close a loophole that gives illegal’s healthcare benefits paid for by taxpayer dollars and block illegal immigrants from gaining in-state college tuition rates. This is the man we need in the U.S. Senate. Tiahrt is a strong leader with solid solutions. He’s the kind of fighter we need to represent Kansas in the U.S. Senate.
