Dear Editor,

Once again El Dorado is in the middle of the political season. Though I thought the letter I wrote and you published last political season would handle the issue, once again I am obliged to write a letter to you. Residents are being inundated with political advertisement from all directions. Apparently at least one of our local candidates, or their volunteers, does not understand the concept of “No Solicitation”.  The apartment complexes I manage are closed to vendors for a reason.

We post no soliciting signs for a reason.  It reflects poorly on local candidates, especially when these signs are ignored.  We once again had a candidate’s representative place advertisements in our apartment complexes. It has since been removed and I have attempted to contact the candidate personally but was unable to get through. I ask that you again please print my letter reminding the candidates and their legions that no solicitation signs mean what they say and you are painting a disrespectful picture of yourself or your candidate when you ignore these signs.

Thank you,
