Dear Editor,
One of the joys of childhood is hearing the ice cream truck somewhere in the neighborhood. “Wait a minute” – one of my joys is hearing the ice cream truck in the neighborhood.
It takes us older generation back to a time when our children were young and the excitement it brought to all the little ones, (and old as well), to greet the truck and come away with an ice cream treat.
The first time we heard the music when we moved into town, we got excited, just like a little kid.
Now my question is, how can the city commissioners take this and make an issue with it. One complaint????
The world is a scary place right now, the children are afraid of many things, like, ne nuclear war, tornadoes, kidnappers, Where's my mom!!!! Where’s my dad!!!!
And to think it would take business away from downtown is laughable.
Commissioners, there are some very real issues here in this beautiful city. We didn’t vote you in to do such silly wrangling.
Sincerely
Carmen Miller
