Eight Wildcats wrestlers earn all-league honors

Eight members of the El Dorado High wrestling team were selected by league coaches to receive Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail League Division III honors.

“We had a great year and the kids did well,” said El Dorado coach Derick McCreary.

Class 4A 189-pound state champion Dylon Walker and 160-pound state runner-up Lucas Cortez were two of the three wrestlers who earned first team recognition. Also earning first team was Talyn Feller at 119 pounds.

Two other wrestlers — Bryce Morgan (103) and Austin Hughey (125) — earned second-team honors; while Kyle Macy (112), Reid Bruce (215) and Johnny Brown (285) received honorable mention.
